Welcome to Awakenings

Life IS history in the making. Every word we say, everything we do becomes history the moment it is said or done. Life void of memories leaves nothing but emptiness. For those who might consider history boring, think again: It is who we are, what we do and why we are here. We are certainly individuals in our thoughts and deeds but we all germinated from seeds planted long, long ago.

Very Inspiring Blog Award

Marilyn @Serendipity has bestowed the Very Inspiring Blogger award upon Awakenings, as well as catnipoflife. Marilyn tags me as having a dual identity and has been (ahem! still is) an avid follower. If you have not visited Serendipity, you are totally missing out on a wonderful experience...very diversified, loaded with humor and featuring some of the BEST photography right from her own neighborhood...how about her back yard!

Before delving into this award, let's take a moment to examine what it is truly about...

Inspire, inspiring, inspiration - what makes a blog fall into such a category? Is it the emotion felt upon reading an article, the glimmer of hope received from its message, the faith in knowing courage was its foundation? Perhaps it is all of the above. . .

in·spire
/inˈspī(ə)r/

Verb

  1. Fill (someone) with the urge or ability to do or feel something, esp. to do something creative: "his enthusiasm inspired them".
  2. Create (a feeling, esp. a positive one) in a person: "inspire confidence".

Synonyms

inspirit - inbreathe - inhale

For Marilyn to bestow the title of "Inspiring" upon Awakenings is more than ever expected. My heart is touched deeply in a way that words just don't come easily for this one. Marilyn even mentioned one time that it is a challenge enough to write one blog but I must be insane to tackle two. It has been an amazing journey for each blog has its own purpose and the writing for one is quite different from the other yet often times similar.

Better stop here or this post is going to get to mushy. So without further adieu, thank you, Marilyn, for this wonderful award but most of all thank you for being my friend.
